Hi, I'm Valeria, but you can also call me Lera, a product designer originally from Russia, now living in New York City for the past 9 years. I'm bilingual and a green card holder. Outside of design, I enjoy photography, pilates, traveling, and spending time with my 7-year-old yorkie, Teddy.

I graduated from Designlab's UX/UI bootcamp in January 2025 after spending several years in customer service, marketing, and analytics. My background in management gave me a deep understanding of user behavior and business goals - skills that now shape how I approach design problems.

My transition into UX/UI design came from realizing that good design has the power to make everyday tasks easier and more enjoyable. I saw firsthand how confusing interfaces frustrated customers, and I wanted to be part of the solution. Now, I design mobile and web experiences for SaaS products, focusing on reducing friction and creating intuitive workflows that users don't have to think about.

I work primarily in Figma and believe that the best designs are informed by real user feedback and data. My analytics background means I'm always thinking about how to measure impact and validate design decisions.

I'm currently seeking full-time product design roles, but I'm also open to freelance projects and contract opportunities.
